John Wunsch - This lesson is the intro to the next study series on James. James is the half brother of Jesus. James didn't believe in Jesus until after the resurrection, but became the leader of the Jerusalem Church. 

James - LaRonda Jackson - A "pillar" of the Church. James was the elder at the Jerusalem Church.

James 1:1-8 Brother John Wunsch teaches on Trials to Truimph! God usess trials in our lives to give us maturity. If you are experiencing trials and frustrations, stay faithful because God is working in you to make you more like Jesus Christ. 

James 1:9-15 Linda Mustain on  Temptation. God never temps us. We are tempted by our oun lust. 

James 1:16-18 So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. LaRonda Jackson did a great job explaining the genres of the book of James!! 

James 1:19-25 Faith Builders Class - James John Wunsch teache about being doers of the Word, not hears only.

James 1:26-27 & 2:1-7 Piper Baumann - James tells us to put our faith in actions. Live your faith. God is not a respector of persons. We are all equal in Christ Jesus.

James 2:8 LaRonda Jackson - The Royal Law - Love the Lord and love others as yourself. How can we do this? Christians need to be real and let God's love flow to change the world.

James 2:14-26 John Wunsch led a great study about faith. Faith without works is dead useless. We are saved for good works. Serve Jesus! 

Excellent lesson on James 3:1-12. Piper Baumann - We must use our language to bless and encourage. James 3:9-10 - Sometimes it praises our Lord and Father, and sometimes it curses those who have been made in the image of God. And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right! - 

James 3:13-18 Enjoy this great lesson. Pure wisdom comes from above. LaRonda Jackson showed us from Scripture what a wise person looks like and what a wise person does. 🙂  

James 4 John Wunsch - If we are friends of the world we are enemies of God. God is the Potter and we are the clay. Fights and quarrels among us are due to desires.  

James 4:7-12 Piper Baumann - Humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil and he will flee. God alone is judge! He wants you true broken heart. Love others for Jesus. 

James 4:13-17 LaRonda Jackson - Your plans might not be God's plans! Your life is lika a mist. Make it count for God! 

James 5:1-6 John Wunsch - A warning to the rich!! Do not become arrogant, greedy, selfish! Treat people well and depend on God. Bless others with your wealth. 

Faith Builders Class August 18, 2025. Powerful lesson on James 5:12-16. Piper Baumann - Always be Honesty. Prayer in Troubled times. Praise in Joyful times. Healing Through Prayer. Forgiveness and Healing. Power of Community. Deaf Heart Church has a strong sense of community. 

Faith Builder Class James 5:13-20. LaRonda Jackson - We need to pray for each other and confess our sins to each other. The faith prayer of a righteous man / woman is successful. We had awesome prayer time after the lesson.

John Wunsch taught a good summary of James. The Book of James is very practicle for the Christian. Jesus changes everything including how we live! 

Faith Builders Class - Piper Baumann - Living Stones / Royal Priesthood. Awesome lesson on comparing the OT Temple worship with the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ.
